Bug Description
TEST CASE:
0. Prerequisite: test must be run on AMD64
1. Enable the repository 'Canonical Partner'
2. In a terminal execute 'apturl "apt:skype:
Expected Results:
A dialog is displayed which ask for confirmation to install skype:i386
multiarch support, as added in Ubuntu Oneiric, makes it easy to install 32 bit packages on a 64 bit system. The 32 bit versions are named the same, but with ':i386' at the end, so if you're running a 64 bit system, there is no skype package in the repos, only one called skype:i386. Apturl flags valid package names as invalid, with the following error:
Invalid url: 'apt:skype:
Invalid package name 'skype:i386'

Hello Eric, or anyone else affected,
Accepted apturl into oneiric-proposed, the package will build now and be available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here. See https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Testing/ EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you in advance!
