Bug Description

Binary package hint: apport

Here's my problem with gnome-sudoku. Apparently, when it crashes, this gets picked up by bug-buddy instead of apport. Easy way to reproduce this is as I reported here [1] to open a terminal and hit ctrl+c. gnome-sudoku crashes and brings up bug-buddy (sometimes when it crashes during the game it brings up apport, but it's hard to get a different crasher [2]). Sending a sigsegv from a terminal currently appears to bring up neither.

Attaching apport.log . I hope it's not too confusing - and yes, bug-buddy crashed :-).

The log indicates that gnome-sudoku crashed several times on a day. Apport does not report more than three crashes per application on a single day to avoid indefinitely spamming the user with crash reports for repetitively crashing respawning daemons and the like.

However, unless you manually enabled bug-buddy again in Feisty, bug-buddy should stay quiet. Reassinging to bug-buddy for this reason.

The bug is likely due to the gnome-python bug-buddy code

Changed in bug-buddy:

status: Unconfirmed → Confirmed
Changed in gnome-python:
