Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Followed the steps on:
http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Edgy/EyeCandy
 How to install Xgl/Compiz (NVIDIA)
on the last step I get:

(compiz-tray-icon:6044): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid (NULL) pointer instance

(compiz-tray-icon:6044): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_signal_connect_data: assertion `G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed

(compiz-tray-icon:6044): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid (NULL) pointer instance

(compiz-tray-icon:6044): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_signal_connect_data: assertion `G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed

I would upload the crash dump but I don't see an upload button on the bug report

You're getting compiz from an unsupported repo, not an Ubuntu bug.

Changed in compiz:
status: Unconfirmed → Rejected
