Fill me in on this one. I too use Swedish language in the GMail Notifier.

This bug is caused by a line in "/usr/share/apps/gmail-notify/langs.xml " at row 91

<string id="19">%(u)d oläst(a) meddelande%(n)s</string>

If this is changed to for example:

<string id="19">%(u)d oläst(a) mail</string>

Then, the bug is fixed :)

Patch to make it work

The reason I changed to word meddelande(n) to mail is that it does not make the program crash. Mail is bot singular and plural at the same time and therefore there is no need for the "%(n)s" part.

This bug was fixed in the package gmail-notify - 1.6.1-3ubuntu3

---------------
gmail-notify (1.6.1-3ubuntu3) intrepid; urgency=medium

  * Changed the swedish translation in file langs.xml as follows:
    <string id="19">%(u)d oläst(a) meddelande%(n)s</string>
was removed and instead I added
    <string id="19">%(u)d oläst(a) mail</string>
The reason I changed the word meddelande(n) to mail is that it does
not make the program crash. Mail is both singular and plural at the
same time and therefore there is no need for the "%(n)s" part.
