Bug Description

Binary package hint: kpowersave

When I hit suspend to disk in kpowersave, I get
Could not umount external media before suspend/standby.
(Reason: Could not call DCOP interface to umount external media.)
Would you like to continue suspend/standby anyway?
(Warning: Continue suspend can cause data loss!)
since the update to 0.7.2.

It then goes black for a few seconds and locks the screen, but doesn't suspend.

Running powersave --suspend-to-disk works just fine though.

I get the same error message when trying to suspend to RAM. Choosing "Suspend" from the logout menu works perfectly, however.

This only started happening, oh, maybe a week or three ago (on Feisty).

This should be fixed with 0.7.2-1ubuntu1.

I once checked the "please don't show me this message again" box... can I undo this (so as to see if the message still comes up)?

KUbuntu method of solving this is strange - just disabling unmount of external media. How can that help ? The warning clearly says "It can cause data loss", and it does, if for example, I hibernate (suspend to disk) and mount that partition from other distro, and the journal is replayed, it will cause data loss.
