When pressing the menu in the lower right corner (the icon for battery and network) a menu should pop up to allow the user to select wifi, and other settings. The menu shows up (wifi does not work there either, but this bug is about graphics) on staging snowball.
This probably has something to do with the hw accelerated graphics.
