Bug Description

All my storage drives on freebsd are not being reported. There is no information about any drives nor do any drives appear within ocs reports.

Hi,

Can you give us the ocsinventory-unix-agent version you use and the output of this command:

ocsinventory-agent --debug

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Guillaume

Sure, but I already have updated the code to patch/fix the issue. The
patched code requires smartmontools-5.42. If I wanted to contriubute
to the cause, how would I go about doing this?

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your patch. Just to be sure, can you give the OCS agent version you used to make this patch ?

Any help is welcome of course and if you want, you can create your own bazaar branch. This will make your patches integration easier and will be able to follow development changes easily. You will find a step by step to help you to create your branch here: http://wiki.ocsinventory-ng.org/index.php/Developers:Bazaar .

Your idea looks good but the " /sbin/sysctl -n kern.disks" command you uses to get disks does not work under OpenBSD (5.0 current) and I get this output:

# /sbin/sysctl -n kern.disks
sysctl: second level name disks in kern.disks is invalid

So, we have to be sure that the systemctl commands you use work on all *BSD systems.

Kind regards,

Guillaume
