(Feisty) Amarok crashes when trying to install MP3 support fix released doesn't work

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. What do you mean by "fix released!!!"? Thanks in advance.

Usually before posting a new bug report I check there's a similar bug on launchpad.
I've seen a previous bug with a fix released but Amarok still has the same problem:-)
Let me know everything you need to fix this problem!

I've waited for feisty beta, but still the same problem with amarok and mp3s.
Here below information required in the post above.

I have the same problem too, I use feisty beta

% apt-cache policy amarok

 *** 2:1.4.5-0ubuntu6+medibuntu1 0

if there is any more information you need, or any workaround for the time being, please let me know.

I installed libxine-extracodecs and restarted amarok, then it worked.

[Expired for amarok (Ubuntu) because there has been no activity for 60 days.]
