Bug Description

Binary package hint: desktop-effects

This may not purely qualify as a bug, but it makes it unusable. I have a special 5 button mouse installed with evdev set in the xorg.conf. Desktop Effects state the file has been manually changed and it can it make the necessary changes. My extra mouse buttons are important and I should not have to remove them just to have the 3d effects enabled.

I find this quite annoying too, but I understand that this is only for beta.
Of course, you can always change your Xorg.conf once you have the restricted drivers installed and 3d effects enabled....
