Firefox keeps freezing up and crashing. Seems to occur when clicking on a text input box. Sometimes it will unfreeze (thaw?) and sometimes it will crash.

Seems that you have some third party extensions (e.g. /opt/RealPlayer/mozilla/nphelix.so) that may have some relationship with the crash. Try to disable it or use the package that provides that extension from ubuntu (mozilla-helix-player).

I can't think of any way to reproduce the bug, it appears to occur randomly.

No extensions are installed.

I have removed the RealPlayer and Flash plugins. I have installed the mozilla-helix-player package instead.

Will let you know if this solves the problem.

No more crashes since removing unsupported plugins. Sorry I should have known this to begin with.
