Bug Description

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. After putting laptop (Asus A52F and K53SV) to sleep, sometimes it doesn't resume. When I try to resume the laptop, all I get is a black screen with a cursor. I try Ctrl+Alt+F2, however it does not recognize either username and keeps checking forever for the username, doesn't even ask about password.

To replicate, put the laptop to sleep and resume. I have noticed that it sometimes happens more frequently when I put the laptop to sleep when charging and resume when on battery or the other way around.
pm-utils is version 1.4.1-9
