ColonyFS: A Peer-to-Peer Filesystem

Registered 2009-04-30 by Christopher Nolan

ColonyFS is a distributed file system which emphasises anonymity, security and dependability over a peer to peer network. This system implements a technique called fragmentation redundancy scattering (FRS), and uses an optimisation algorithm inspired by the movement of ants. The aim of the project is to produce an implementation of these techniques for the specific requirements of a dynamic peer-to-peer network where participants can join and leave at will.
