Asus A6U scroll lock hotkey doesn't work

Bug Description

Function-Del is supposed to be scroll lock but it does nothing.

Tried all three methods for getting the code:
Keyboard Shortcuts Dialog - Scroll_Lock
showkey - returned nothing
acpi - returned nothing

dmidecode:
ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
A6U
1.0

I'm not sure what else to do

I reopen the bug, as it is valid, I can confirm it. I use ASUS A6B00U notebook (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/AsusA6B00U) on fully updated Hardy. What can I check to help?

This bug report was marked as Confirmed a while ago but has not had any updated comments for quite some time. Please let us know if this issue remains in the current Ubuntu release, http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download . As I changed my notebook and I will no longer use Hardy, I unsubscribed from this bug report.
