Bug Description

After I "apt-get distupgrade" my Ubuntubox to Dapper, I noticed something booting up took a long time. When the Ubuntu splash Screen (with the load messages underneath) shows, I got stuck at the second line "waiting for root filesystem ..." First time I thought my system got stuck, it's only after retrying and retrying I noticed it just takes ages to continu the rest of the boot process.

I'm not quit sure which information is needed, but feel free to contact me if you want more info

When trying to boot the LiveCD, my system stalls at the same point ("Mounting root filesystem..."), and eventually continues to boot, although it fails to start X.

For me, this bug can be closed. After further upgrades, I've never seen this behavior happening again. so it seems to be resolved.
