Bug Description

Hi I have a few problems i'm hoping you can help me with. I have a Toshiba Qosmio F10 notebook on which i was running FC4 but I have now installed Ubuntu Breezy.
A few things do not work under breezy sensors being one of them. In FC4 lm-sensors work ok, but in breezy running sensors-detect comes back with no sensors found. The system detect's the temperature on boot but it does not update.
In FC4 i2c_i801 & i2c_core modules are loaded and if i run sensors-detect in FC4.
Also when i shutdown my notebook, it can take up to 5 minuets to shutdown or restart. Also the nvidia 8178 drivers install but hard-lock the display with a black screen afte reboot. I think this one is a driver problem as it's also black screen in fc4 & dapper. FC$ does not hard lock however & if i press the power button the system shuts down.
Below I've added my lspci, lspci -n, dmesg, from ubuntu and the info from what is found when iI run sensors-detect in fc4.

I've also posted these :

Please file only one bug report at a time; consider that the problems will be resolved separately, and quite likely by different people, so they need to be tracked separately. Since you provided the most information about the sensor problem, let's use this bug to track only that issue.

I have a related (?) problem on an HP Pavilion DV1000 notebook after upgrading from Breezy to Dapper. During boot-up I get a "setting sensors limits failed" notice. I tried sensors-detect and it detects the sensors only if the required modules are removed first (they were automatically loaded, as I had already gone through the process in the breezy installation), but the failure notice remains during boot-ups.

Yesterday I still got the "failed" message during bootup (I do daily updates).
I will check again tonight (don't have my laptop here with me right now).
