Bug Description

When using Xorg's Composite extensions (including using XGL) the image window appears in the correct shape, but no image is displayed, the window is filled white. This happens even when a Composite manager is not being run, just the fact that the section is in xorg.conf.

I can confirm this with feisty. I am using mga with a Matrox g400.
I just get solid white silhouettes instead of the pictures.

Thank you for your bug report.

Warbo:
Can you add the lspci output for your card to this bug?

This seems to be working correctly for me here on Gutsy with an Intel 940 graphics card (I can wobble a window underneath a bear with a red bow tie. The bear does not wobble but presumably this is the correct bearhaviour).

Warbo:
Do you see this on a Gutsy LiveCD ( http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/releases/gutsy/tribe-5/ ) too?

I'm using Gutsy as my main system and I have just tried xteddy with and without Composite enabled, and it works fine (Xorg with and without xcompmgr and XGL with and without Compiz Fusion, just to make sure). As far as I'm concerned this can be marked fixed, although I don't know if this is so for Sitsofe Wheeler. Thank you whoever fixed it :)
