EAGLE makes use of Python3 and PyQt4, and was created to receive data from a UAV designed for remote sensing. It connects to UAVs using Python Sockets, and displays the data in real-time as well as saving it to a flight log for playback. There is also an integrated, zoomable map that utilises Google Static Maps API.
