the beta is already in dapper, so this needs to get in because the beta is not installable anymore.

That's the same argument that persuaded me to upload a faulty flash 7 security update.... I'm not going to approve Flash9 final until someone tests the packaging.... I can post testing .debs for Dapper if people want.

Approved for Edgy-backports. I've been using this since the minute it uploaded into Feisty; but I've no graphical Dapper machines.
Can some with Dapper prevu this from feisty and see if it works?
