Frog! Retro Remake Game is a remake of a classic Commodore PET game which first appeared circa 1971.

Frog Game was converted from Commodore PET 4016 BASIC in to Pascal and Delphi by Peter Eric Williams a few years ago for WIndows XP and the beta version is working and can be found on Source Forge posted by myself (PEW). I have rewritten parts of it a few years ago for a new version and a bug has prevented me from releasing the next version.

The game displays a frog drawn in Commodore PET PETSCII characters which responds to characters 0 to 9 to jump up and down and poke out his tongue. There are between 1 and 3 flies drawn as PETSCII asterisk (*) characters. There is a timer which counts down and the frog is in a race against time to eat frogs and get calories to stay alive. If the frog does not eat enough flies then froggy will die.

Sound effects are supported as WAV files. The settings are saved in a .INI file.

The game can be played at level 0 to 9 (speed) and 1 or 3 flies.

Game is currently in English and written in Lazarus Free Pascal.

Assistance is sought to debug the last bug for next version and translate to other languages (than English).
