Groovy is a dynamic programming language for the JVM that works symbiotically with Java.

The Groovy project (http://groovy.codehaus.org) is a Codehaus (http://www.codehaus.org) project that provides a dynamic programming language that works symbiotically with Java. Groovy is at the heart of the Grails (http://www.grails.org) Web application framework, the Gradle (http://www.gradle.org) build framework, and the Spock (http://www.spockframework.org) unit test framework. The mainline of development for Groovy is a Git repository held at Codehaus (git://git.codehaus.org/groovy-git.git). This Launchpad project is to support those people who prefer to work with Bazaar instead of Git, and as a way of supporting Groovy in Ubuntu.

The legacy Groovy Subversion repository is being maintained by pushing changesets from the Git repository.
