Herald Dashboard is a full-screen application designed to run in a layer between the desktop and other applications, presenting useful information to the user in the same way as a PDA's "today" screen (appointments, new mail notifications, news, weather, etc). It is designed to have a unified look rather than a clutter of "widgets".

Herald Dashboard is targeted primarily at UMPC users, but should work equally well on full-sized desktops
