This is a bugfix release, but it has some nice new features as well, see some of them in the release notes:

For the (more) complete list of changes see the NEWS file:

This version solves some problems with the R package, in particular, will make attribute operations (among others) much faster, so we suggest that you install the latest R package (version 0.6.5-1) from CRAN.

We are pleased to announce that Debian/Ubuntu packages for igraph and its Python interface will be available for both i386, amd64 and lpia archtectures from Launchpad from now on. See the page of the package archive at for more instructions. The current package archive at will not be updated any more.

If you are using igraph packages from our package repository, please update the package source in /etc/apt/sources.list to keep on getting updates for igraph.

Written for igraph by Gábor Csárdi on 2009-05-14

Ok, I am sorry for the confusion, now we really managed to find out what was wrong with the igraph R package on R version 2.9.0. New, corrected R packages are available for download at the igraph homepage, and also on CRAN. Their version number is 0.5.2-2. Again, it only make sense to update you R package if you run windows.
