This package provides an implementation of the Linux Standard Base, starting at version 2.0 for Debian. Over time it started with 32 and 64 bit processors ifrom the Intel x86 family, Intel ia64 (Itanium), IBM S390 (31 bit), and PowerPC 32-bit architecturse. Over time, 64 bit entrants have been added (s390x, ppc64)
