There have been some improvements to the first alpha, it now supports S3 (read-only for the time being, sorry), sftp, permissions and various other things.
Again, *don't use it* to sync important data, it's still in an alpha state.

The first functioning alpha version of omnisync has just been committed. It supports --recursive and --delete, and has file and virtual transport modules ready.
As this is an alpha, we *strongly* urge you not to use it to sync important data.
