The Open Voting Consortium is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development, maintenance, and delivery of open voting systems for Consortium use in public elections. The OVCri project intends to develop a fully functional reference implementation that can be certified for use in actual elections.

Developers wishing to contribute to the OVCri project should first become familiar with the OVC solution and all Blueprints related to the OVCri project.

Developers wishing to become a "Driver" of the project should first become an Ubuntero.

Because the OVCri must be certifiable for use in actual elections, contributions will only be accepted from individuals who are willing to disclose their real identity for the purpose of developing OVCri. For the time being, this simply means:

- You must use your real name in your OpenPGP key, and
- all submitted changes must be signed.
