People approving translations of Ubuntu into Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk).

You can translate Ubuntu into Norwegian without being a member of this group. Launchpad will save your translations as suggestions, and the members of this group will review them. Please only apply for membership after you have had a significant bunch of translations reviewed and approved by the group. Memberships typically expire after 12 months, and must be renewed once a year by a group admin. Inactive translators will not have their memberships extended.

All translators should follow the guidelines[1] and use the common dictionary[2] where applicable.

Packages which can be translated "upstream" (that is: software for which the upstream developer accepts and ships your translations as part of their source code) should not be changed here unless there are very good reasons for Ubuntu's localisations to differ from the upstream project.

There is an official e-mail list for Norwegian software translators[3] which should be used for reference and discussion.
