Launchpad itself

need 4 scripts

my problem deals are:

1) Installing Office 2
2) Installing java 1.5.x
3) Installing Firefox 1.5.x
4) Clustering 2 machines

Are there any scripts I can just run to take care of these problems?

1. See http://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel/2005-October/012520.html for information on upgrading to OOo2. You will need to add the 'deb...' line to your sources (eg. via Settings->Repositories in Synaptic) to install the updated versions of the OOo2 packages.

2. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RestrictedFormats for information on installing Java.

3. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FirefoxNewVersion

4. Not sure what you mean. There is some info at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuClusters but if you basically want to share files try NFS - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NFSServerHowTo and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NFSClientHowTo

I will give these a shot. Let me thank you for your courteous and quick
reply. I have sworn off MS forever, and will do all I can in the future
to help this project along. It is really the best os I have used in
over 30 years of professional work!
