Version 1.4 allows to define geometries based on polygons. This allows very fast and accurate interfacing of geometries between Python and the Meep core, with minimal consumption of memory and without overhead to the user of having to write C/C++ code.

in version 1.3 the numpy matrix functionality (for interfacing the epsilon definition to Meep) is only available for 2D. Add function for 3D.

new feature : specify a NUMPY array for with epsilon-values for the complete grid. This prevents callback to Python for every point ; also, the use of inline-c is then no longer needed : the NUMPY array is directly accessible from the C/C++ space.

Version 1.1, released 22-JAN-2010 (for use with Meep version 1.1.1)

* This version features better support for HARMINV, i.e. a user friendly function 'runWithHarminv' is now available (see section 6.2 in the documentation for a detailed description). The standard Meep example 'ring.ctl' (which uses Harminv) was also ported to Python and is included in the "samples" directory.

* Several sections of the documentation were improved, such as better explanation on how to exploit symmetry.

Release 1.0 is the result of ongoing work throughout 2009 by Nizamov Shawkat and Emmanuel Lambert.
Part of this release is an extensive tutorial on how to write python-meep scripts, a series of test scripts and samples.
Both single processor and MPI are supported.
