This project has been obsoleted by "Jockey".

Restricted Manager provides a user interface for configuring non-free hardware drivers, such as the Nvidia and ATI fglrx X.org, various Wireless LAN kernel modules, or getting firmware which cannot be shipped with the distribution.

It also provides integration into the desktop for checking about availability of new drivers and notify the user about them.
