Bug Description

<https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/dapper/+source/speedcrunch/+translations> and <https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/edgy/+source/speedcrunch/+translations> show that there is no translation template for Speedcrunch in Launchpad, even though it is in "main" and the source tarball contains upstream translations for some languages.

Please make it translatable and import the existing upstream translations.

Yes. The template for the SpeedCrunch Calculator is missing in Rosetta. Therefore it's only available in English.

IMHO it's not a Rosetta bug because speedcrunch doesn't use gettext for i18n. It's a speedcrunch bug.
Speedcrunch is translated upstream. Localized files are in /usr/share/crunch, but speedcrunch seems to be unable to load those files from this directory, it works when the files are in /usr/local/share/crunch.
As a workaround you could make a symlink :

sudo ln -s /usr/share/crunch/ /usr/local/share/crunch

As Bruno points, we don't support the way this application handles translations so we are not able to import it.

So maybe the Kubuntu-Team should use an other calculator as default!?

Option (1): Implement the Launchpad-way of translating.
Option (2): Use an other calculator as default. Maybe Qualculate?
