IMPORTANT FOR ALL UPGRADING USERS - you must completely delete the /username/sofa folder first (after storing anything you wish to save).

IMPORTANT FOR UPGRADING DEB USERS - see instructions here http://www.sofastatistics.com/predeb.php
IMPORTANT FOR KARMIC & LUCID USERS - the Preferences button might not respond to a mouse click. Workaround - click that button with mouse then press Enter key.
IMPORTANT FOR LINUX MINT USERS - For some mysterious reason, the SOFA Statistics shortcut (under Other)
doesn't work. But there is a simple workaround. Just drag the icon onto the desktop. That icon will work. There seems to be something a little quirky about the Mint Menu.
DEB USER HAVING TROUBLE UPGRADING? If the version you are upgrading from is 0.9.8 or lower, read "upgrading_from_sofa_pre_0.9.9_in_linux.pdf". If the version you are upgrading from is 0.9.9 or higher, check "upgrading_from_sofa_0.9.9_or_higher_in_linux.pdf".

WANTING TO CONNECT TO MYSQL or POSTGRESQL - The Mac version of SOFA does not currently have the MySQL and PostgreSQL connectors included (unlike the Ubuntu/Linux Mint and Windows versions). A manual process is possible but it is not currently simple enough for packaging. Please contact us at grant@sofastatistics.com if you would like to install the extra database connectors. We can supply detailed instructions plus some email support.
