TorAnt is a recreation of one of the worlds most flexible file sharing tools to work in the Tor network. Resumable file downloads and rate limiting are required for some people who live with internet connections that are filtered unless Tor is used and slowed down even when it is.

Other tools like JTorChat provide file transfer over Tor, but it is a painful process to send a single file to a group of people and sometimes the connections break and must be restarted. TorAnt can provide the ability to distribute a file to a group and then allow the group to continue to share files.
