Bug Description

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-musicbrainz2 was automatically synced from Debian, but the version has a new dependency. The dependency (libdiscid) is not yet in Ubuntu, which means the python-musicbrainz2 package is currently broken.

  * New upstream release.
  * Added Depends on libdiscid0.
  * Moved to python-musicbrainz2-doc to section doc.

There's no explanation provided about why it was added as a dependancy, but libdiscid is provided by the musicbrainz project, so I guess it's required now. Please sync this lib from Debian.

Thank you.

Is this package waiting for some sort of approval as it's not in archive yet? I couldn't find any buildd records either?

Michael Bienia (geser) wrote :

As this is a NEW source package it needs approval from the archive admins (see the queue for feisty).

okay, thanks for clarifying.
