Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

The icon for Evolution is wrong. It used to be pretty, now its that old round icon from the ximian gnome days. See attached screenshot. The icon shown is also the icon used in the Applications --> Internet menu, but I can't take screenshots of that for some reason.

Do you have gtk2-engines-spherecrystal installed? It looks like the icon from that theme is used

The crystalsvg icon is used, Human theme could have an evolution icon taking over it

I just wanted to file that same bug :) and found out that others have
experienced bad looking icons too. Particulary, evolution icon in gnome
panel and in menus.

It is not a big problem, but you just do not use the "real" evolution icon.

The patch does not use the correct evolution icon, but the internet-mail tango icon (see attachment).

Kenneth Wimer (kwwii) wrote :

Agreed, but the icon now included is the same icon as used in previous releases.
