Bug Description
Binary package hint: kdebase
Recently, an annoying bug was reported the KDE developers, but they say that it's not a KDE bug but a bug in the distribution. See this bug here:
http://
I believe that this is actually a KDE bug, but still you might want to check it out. This is extremely annoying, because the standard kbd driver from X.org 7.1 doesn't work for me.

Fix committed to SVN in december, so this is fixed in KDE 3.5.6.

I can confirm this.
kdelibs assumes that keycode 111 is always PrintScrn and launches ksnapshot. When using evdev (xserver- xorg-input- evdev) for keybord input with a normal PC keyboard then keycode 111 is the "Up" key, and this gets very annoying.
There is a patch in the upstream bug tracker, and it is also applied to upstream SVN. It applies without problems and fixes the bug on Edgy as well.
I am attaching a version of the patch modified for kdelibs_ 3.5.5-0ubuntu3 using cdbs-edit-patch. I hope that this can be included in some later update for Edgy. Not being able to use the Up key should qualify as a severe regression.
