Bug Description
Binary package hint: kpowersave
kpowersave 0.7.x version have switched completely to HAL for all power management tasks. This means it will use Ubuntu laptop support the same way as gnome-power-manager and guidance-
0.7.2 is the first release which provides same functionality as old 0.6.2 release (currently in Ubuntu) provided. Therefore it makes sense to upgrade to new version now.

Great to see that they're using HAL right now. However I'm a bit torn about the change.
Will you go through the bugs and feed information upstream after the change and get in fixes they might have for us?

Daniel, I also had second thoughts before, this is why I did not package earlier 0.7.x versions (even though I have tried them). However 0.7.2 is very complete and from limited tests in past days also stable enough. Older version is in OpenSUSE 10.2 and thsi one will be in 10.3.
I am sure that Danny Kukawka (upstream author) would appreciate wider testing that Ubuntu repositories can provide and help with the fixes. He has helped a lot in past, when we have considered kpowersave for main inclusion in Edgy:

I am subscribed to all powersave/

Has my +1. Once approved and updated, please ask all reporters of old bugs to test again with 0.7.2 and feed that information back upstream.

Daniel, thanks. Will do.
Tonio (or any other universe-sponsors): can you upload the package from REVU?
