clock applet has no 12 hr time

Thanks for your bug. What locale are you using? The changelog mentions that:

"2006-01-22 Vincent Untz <email address hidden>

        Don't offer the 12-hour format to the user if his locale don't support
        it (strftime("%p") == ""). Fix bug #320156

        * (format_changed): check if we support AM/PM and if we don't and it's
        the new format, just use 24-hour as format
        (fill_clock_applet): ditto
        (set_format_cb): small tweak for when we don't support AM/PM
        (display_properties_dialog): don't show the 12-hour option if we don't
        support AM/PM, small tweak when initialize the current value"

This appears to be a New Zealand specific bug.

Thank you for pointing the locales bug, reassigning. Martin, I mark that to fix for dapper since there is a trivial patch. Let me know if you are not the right person for locales bugs assigning!

I'am using Kubuntu 7.10, and I can't change the clock time from 24hr to 12hr, i tried everything.
