Shipping Address fields too short

Ubuntu GNOME

Bug Description

At, <https://shipit.ubuntu.com/> after login, we fill the shipping address.
These fields are short and accept a maximum of 20 to 30 characters as below.

Name: <currently max. char accepted is 20>
Example: Mr. Venkatachalam Subrahmanyam, with 30 char, would not fit. It cannot be shortened since its not uncommon to find people with similar names or a slight spelling difference in the first or last name. Here the organization /designation field can be used to differentiate.

Organization: <currently max. char accepted is 30>

Designation: <currently this field is non-existent>

Address: <currently max. char accepted 30>. Also only two rows are alloted, which is a problem in India as we have long addresses. This insufficient address space will result in packages not being delivered at all.

Thanks.

Thanks for your bug. You probably want to open a bug on the "shipit" product. You just bugged the code that put the 2 launchpad menu entry to the applications shipped with the desktop.

Changed in launchpad-integration:
assignee: nobody → gnome
status: New → Rejected
