Bug Description

Binary package hint: lighttpd

While testing our on house system, some SSL requests fail with the following message in the logs:

(mod_fastcgi.c.2930) write failed: Operation not supported 95

I couldn't find the reason for such failure, as other SSL requests worked flawlessly. Compiling the official source for 1.4.13 solves this problem. Also, the problem seems related to 32bit architectures, as the same process will work without a problem on a Ubuntu 64bit.

A couple of questions:
 * What are you talking to via fastcgi? PHP?
 * Which version of Ubuntu (and lighttpd) are you using?

It is a Python script using WSGI (flup), but the request doesn't even reach the script.

 * Which version of Ubuntu (and lighttpd) are you using?
Ubuntu Edgy, lighttp 1.4.13~r1370-1ubuntu1.

Could you possibly retest under Feisty?

Julio Biason (julio-biason) wrote :

Not at the moment. Right now I only have my current development box at work (this machine).

I'll try to open some space for a new partition and install Feisty and see how it goes, but that could take some time.

I'll post any information as soon as I can.

Thanks for the bug report. I'm closing it because the bug has been fixed in Feisty.

If you need a fix for the bug in 6.10, please follow the instructions for "How to request new packages". <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports>
