Changelog
pcre3 (2:8.39-5ubuntu1) artful; urgency=medium
* fix_stack_frame_size_detection.patch: disable compiler optimization
around stack frame size detection as a workaround. This fixes
segfaults on ppc64el and s390x and should be harmless on other
architectures. Thanks to Ondřej Surý and Sergei Golubchik.
Closes: #878107, LP: #1722434.

.
The other reason for the existence of pcregrep is that its source code is an
example of programming with libpcre.
