Bug Description

Binary package hint: pypanel

I installed pypanel (2.4-1.1) from edgy's universe repo but it doesn't want to start.
It gives: "command not found" or when upgrading from older version: "bash: /usr/bin/pypanel: No such file or directory".
Older version of pypanel (2.3-1) works well.

Thanks.

$ dpkg -L pypanel

/usr/bin
/usr/share
/usr/share/pypanel
/usr/share/pypanel/ppicon.png
/usr/share/doc

/usr/share/menu/pypanel
/usr/share/man
/usr/share/man/man1

On Debian Unstable the package pypanel (2.4-1.1) also contains the files

    /usr/bin/pypanel
    /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/ppmodule.so

which are missing in the Edgy package.

Right, this bug is caused by bug 66511, which means that pypanel doesn't build properly, yet the build doesn't bail out as it should.

Can also confirm the package is missing the file. Version 1 of the package has the binary, version 1.1 does not (assume that was transition to edgy, just looking at the debs in my /var/cache/apt/archives).

Thanks for the bug report. I'm closing it because the bug has been fixed in Feisty.

pypanel (2.4-1.1build1) feisty; urgency=low

  * No-change upload built against a fixed python-xlib.
