The 0.8 series will see WACS move to a level we consider Beta grade software. Development will most definitely continue but need for an understanding of the underlying database and scripting technology should be gone. Significant focus and effort will be placed on improving the Documentation and process paths to do with creating and managing an installation of WACS. Around 0.8.2 we hope to start producing .rpm and .deb packages for Fedora and Ubuntu to make installing even easier.

This is a set of development components for anyone looking to modify or extend WACS. Since WACS is written in scripting languages, this primarily contains master copies of the icon artwork, etc, and the DocBook XML sources for the documentation. It is not needed if you are merely installing WACS in order to use it.
