Not entirely abandoned ...

While I would really like to get back to working on this project and fixing some of the really glaring bugs, I am currently working for a startup ~60-80 hours/week. And as this is the only project I work on that is both Windows based and C++, the ramp time it takes me to just figure out how to fix things is far too time consuming (especially when M$ releases a patch weeks after I fix one issue that creates new issues). Also, the lack of a followed stable development interface (i.e. how Windows reports different drives) is almost infuriating.

There are enough other projects out there with capable teams actively developing them. Mainly for the specific application needed.

This project started out as a way to get an image created on a USB drive to boot Ubuntu Linux on a Windows based netbook that didn't have a CD reader. It has become hugely popular in a lot of other areas as a result. One area it sorely lacks in is funding. A lot of the early development was done in between jobs, or during job downtime. While I get paid well for what I do, I don't have time for extracurricular projects.
