Ubuntu Repository for Prudence
PPA description
Prudence is an open source container and framework for scalable web frontends and network services. It comes in several flavors: Python, Ruby, Clojure, JavaScript, PHP and Groovy. Your applications can support rich clients (AJAX), thin clients (pure HTML), and happy mixes between the two. Prudence addresses real-world, practical concerns, from virtual hosting and URI rewriting to flexible server- and client-side caching.

To install Prudence from this repository:
(replace "X" with your flavor of choice, or "kitchensink")
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:emblem-parade/prudence
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install prudence-X
On Ubuntu 10.10: Note that this repository is for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (lucid), but will work fine with Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick). In order to save resources, we've decided not to maintain duplicate versions. Just make sure to edit "/etc/apt/source.list/emblem-parade-prudence-maverick.list" and switch "maverick" to "lucid".
You can then start/stop the Prudence daemon so:
sudo service prudence-X start
Install your Prudence applications here:
/var/lib/prudence-X
Configuration files are at:
/etc/prudence-X
And logs are at:
/var/log/prudence-X
Note that you can install multiple flavors on the same system.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:emblem-parade/prudence to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:emblem-parade/prudence
sudo apt update
