Go 1.6
PPA description
Builds of golang-1.6 are provided by this PPA for older releases that do not include them. At this point, that list includes Trusty (14.04) and Wily (15.10). Packages are build for amd64, i386, armhf, and arm64. Note that Go 1.5.1 is also available for Trusty. This is a necessary build-dependency for golang-1.6.
All of these packages were built by backporting the releases in Xenial. As such, they work great for CI but probably aren't suitable for production use.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:hectane/go-1.6 to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hectane/go-1.6
sudo apt update
