ppa-purge

This is an improved version of ppa-purge containing several bugfixes. The code is maintained at https://code.launchpad.net/~jarnos/ppa-purge/+git/ppa-purge

IMPORTANT: If you use Ubuntu newer than Eoan (19.10) do not use 'sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jarnos/ppa-purge' to add this PPA in your system. Instead use either of the following ways in terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository 'deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/jarnos/ppa-purge/ubuntu eoan main'

(This adds the debline in file /etc/apt/sources.list)

OR

sudo add-apt-repository --no-update ppa:jarnos/ppa-purge && sudo sed -Ei 's#(/ubuntu )[^ ]+#\1eoan#' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jarnos-ubuntu-ppa-purge-*.list && sudo apt update

(This adds a file in /etc/apt/sources.list.d)

HOW TO INSTALL THE PACKAGE:

Once you have added the PPA, run

sudo apt install ppa-purge

to install/update ppa-purge in your system.

Additionally you may want to run

exec bash

to be able to use the tab completion function of Bash with ppa-purge right away in the terminal.
