More than 5 years ago I gave UBUNTU a go. A great system and more important - a great philosophy. Before I played around with different Linux systems, i. e. MEPIS and SUSE. Started in the early 80's to work on Unix, I tended always to use alternative OS similar to Unix.
In my personal opinion and considering my personal and professional needs, the Linux community offers nowadays quite a number of distributions and such a variety of user software for professional and private use - worth to make the move
UBUNTU - try it, like it - or (hopefully not) just leave it.
Introducing Vinux into a school project for blind and visual impaired people.
I am living and working now since 7 years in Sydney, Australia.
