Changelog
ubuntu-drivers-common (1:0.7.8.1+laney1) focal; urgency=medium
* Allow installing device specific metapackages.
These match oem-*-meta. Add a test for this too.
* tests: Rename ubuntu_drivers.py to test_ubuntu_drivers.py.
This allows it to be discovered by vscode
* detect: Update oem-*-meta packages after we install them.
These packages enable an external archive. The intention is that the
external archive can provide updates to the metapackage itself, which
can bring in components outside of Ubuntu. After installing these, then
go on to update and upgrade them so that the new stuff gets installed
too.
* detect: Offer oem-*-meta for installation with `ubuntu-drivers install`
There is a top-level whitelist. Let OEM packages through, so they can be
installed.
* detect: Add a --no-oem flag.
We're going to provide UI in Ubiquity to enable or disable installing of
the OEM metapackages. For that, we'll want to be able to toggle it in
ubuntu-drivers too, so that `ubuntu-drivers install` doesn't install
them.
* detect: Check for 'Modaliases' first when building modalias -> package map.
This results in a small speedup, because there are far fewer packages
with Modalises than there are candidates, so most packages are
immediately filtered out.
* ubuntu-drivers: Add a new 'list-oem' command.
This is going to be used by Ubiquity to decide whether to show its UI
for this, and allows listing just the oem-*-meta packages for the
system.
