To install:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mbudde/ledger
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install ledger
Ledger is a double-entry accounting system with a command-line reporting interface (http://ledger-cli.org).
The package is maintained in Git at http://github.com/mbudde/ledger
