   * Attempt to fix cdrom.mount again. Thus reverting the "Revert the cdrom
     changes from the previous upload, they seem to lead to an empty /cdrom
     on the live session and to have no kernel on the installed system as a
     result" that was done in 1.424 to eoan. This time around however, also
     include a udev rule to mark the cdrom that was mounted by initrd ready
     for systemd. Such that on boot it doesn't try to unmount it leaving
     the ubiquity desktop installer broken. But see this email on

     It seems to be that it's not possible to mount cdrom in the initrd
     with udev present but without systemd (which would have passed state
     to systemd off the rootfs). Maybe presetting SYSTEMD_READY in the
     initrd's udev will help.
